New Actions Alert: 4 Task Shortcuts for Bill.com Users

Perform actions for Bill.com anywhere, using Glances
A few months back and by client request, we added Bill.com to our expanding collection of apps compatible with Glances. This popular platform automates and simplifies your company’s Accounts Payable processes, and when combined with Glances, you can instantly view customer invoices within any web app or platform you prefer to work in. Since this release, our development team has been hard at work adding new Glances Actions and views to further increase productivity for users with Bill.com connected.

We’ll cover the updates and what you can expect following this quick Glances and Bill.com overview video.
1. Create Bill.com Customer Action
Adding new Bill.com customers to your database has never been more convenient, thanks to this new Glances Action. In the screenshots below, the Glances user is working in monday.com and checking in on their new projects and associated tasks. With several new clients added to projects in monday, it’s the perfect time to click the Actions menu from the Glances widget, then select Bill.com Customer to transform these contacts into official Bill.com customers for invoicing purposes. From there, enter your preferred details in the form, from customer name and email to billing address and more. All of this busywork for Bill.com (that would normally require tab switching between apps) is achieved directly within Glances, without ever leaving the monday.com workspace. You can find these actions in the Glances search view or customer view.


2. Create Bill.com Sub-Customer Action
Depending on how your business operates, there may be times when you need to split invoices or simply bill one or two contacts under the umbrella of a larger company. Or, perhaps your work is project based and you need to invoice a main customer per individual project, using the “sub-customer” as the project name. Whatever your reason may be, use cases like these would benefit from selecting the new Bill.com Sub-customer action. In terms of your data, any sub-customer entry will be directly related to the main Bill.com customer. You can find this handy function in the Actions menu while using the Glances widget, available in the search view and customer view.

3. Create Bill.com Invoice Action
Getting paid for your team’s hard work is what keeps your business rolling – and this new action helps you speed up the process. Simply open the Glances widget from any app or webpage, search for your customer, click the Actions menu, then select Bill.com Invoice to create a new invoice on the fly.
4. List of Customer Invoices Glance
Once you have created a brand-new invoice (or have a history of past invoices) per customer, you can easily view your work. Simply search for your customer’s name using Glances, then click the List of Customer Invoices Glance to expand the details. Click on any invoice number to drill down to more granular data. Enjoy an always-ready view of this crucial billing information so you can know each customer’s status at any given moment.
